Fishing, Family & Friends

There will be lots of fishing at our neighbor's pond this year, but this was our first time for the summer. We had a VERY successful night. Everybody caught several fish. I think our final total was 10 bass and about 2 dozen bluegills. 

Her first catch all by herself. She still won't even come close to the line if a fish is on it, but she was so excited that she reeled one in all by herself!

Our happy little man. He slept through most of the adventure and he definitely loves being outside. 

Chloe gets so excited when her bobber disappears that she starts jumping up and down and squealing rather than setting the hook and reeling. She lost several fish this way! But, it was absolutely hilarious to watch!!

We even caught 3 fish at the same time!

Another family member had a birthday during the month of May...our niece turned 2! The girls had fun wrapping her presents and a blast jumping around in the pool during the party.

It was a picnic party.....what a fun set-up!

We also had some good friends stop and visit with us on their way to vacation and on their way home. How great to see them twice in one week!

Although we only see each other maybe once a year we always have such a wonderful time together.

The last catch of the morning was a nice sized bass....perfect ending to our last moments together for awhile.

Here's a few miscellanious pictures. We had a house wren build her nest in our hanging basket full of begonias! We recently discovered that she laid 5 eggs in this nest. More pictures to come soon!
