I can't believe that we've celebrated another year with Chloe. She is such a precious, sweet girl and we are so thankful that the LORD has blessed us with her. This past year she has grown up so much. She finished a year of kindergarten at home, is learning to read, took a tap & ballet class, enthusiastically welcomed her new baby brother, started using a kid friendly knife to help with dinner prep & is a big helper with chores inside and outside. She also willingly gave up her blanky. That was bittersweet for me. We had talked for quite awhile about putting her blanky away at age 5 to help curb her thumb sucking habit. But, that has dissipated pretty much on its own and I was second guessing taking away her blanky. But, on the morning of her birthday she looked at me and said, "Mom, you know we had an agreement that I would put my blanky in a box when I turned 5. Here you go." I couldn't believe it....I had actually forgotten about the agreement. I told her I wouldn't take it away on her birthday and the next morning she delivered it to me in my room and hasn't talked about it since. She's just so big!
She chose a fishing theme for her birthday party. She's a very girly girl and loves wearing dresses, having her hair fixed pretty, painting nails, carrying a purse, and playing dress up. BUT, she also loves to dig for worms, get dirty playing outside and FISHING!

| She does not like cake and requested ice cream instead. We came across the dirt cup idea while brainstorming and she loved it. So.....no cake! (Oh, and on a side note....her favorite color right now is rainbow...her dress in this picture reminded me!) |

| We were able to have her party next to this awesome playground. Everyone brought their own picnic and then we had dirt cups and ice cream bars for dessert before heading down to the lake to fish. |
| The party guests! |
| It was pretty funny watching this entourage head to the lake to find a fishing spot! |
| Unfortunately not a single fish was caught....just lots of weeds! |
| And this is how Ian felt when we got home! (Silly daddy....) |
