He's Here!

I can't believe that our little man is already 1 week old! It's been a fun whirlwind and we are all so in love! Ian Alexander arrived at 5:30pm on Friday, April 6th. He weighed 8lbs 1oz and measured 20 and 3/4 inches long. Isn't he adorable!?!?!

I have tons and tons of pictures, but here is a sampling of our first week:
The morning of the 6th....we were just a little excited!
We had a scheduled c-section for 1pm. Little did we know just how long the day would become! After arriving and being prepped for surgery for 2 hours our doctor told us he wasn't sure when they would be able to do the c-section. He even asked if we wanted to reschedule.....what a silly question! Anyway, there were 11 patients on the floor (the staff kept saying it was all because of the full moon the night before!) and they were short on staff for many reasons. Long story short, my doctor had to leave for the weekend and we met the on-call doc who would preform the surgery. I was given a new time of 4pm. Then another lady progressed quickly in labor but was supposed to have a c-section so they came to check on me. Guess what....I had gone into labor too and they were trying to decide who would go first! She beat me by progressing way too fast and we had to wait another hour! Let's just say that we were very excited and relieved to meet Ian at 5:30pm that evening!

Sooooo excited to finally meet their little brother. They were troupers in the waiting room all day long!

Cousins!
We got to come home on Easter Sunday.....it felt so good to be back home!

Grammy and Papa came to stay for a few days. They have been such a great help and blessing! So thankful to have family nearby.

They can't get enough of him!

Just for fun....I had a blast doing a little photo shoot. He LOVED laying in the sun!

Honestly....could she adore him any more? She tells me several times a day that she LOVES her little brother. He really is her answer to prayer.....she did ask God persistently for this little guy.

And my cup is overflowing! I am so blessed!
