February in a Nutshell

What have we been up to? Well, tons and tons of projects! Nesting = a boatload of projects and creativity for me.....and for Ryan since I can't do everything that I want to do! So, the biggest project is converting a storage space into a closet/room for our little guy. While we are doing that I also decided to redo our whole room...a bit crazy, but so fun! (I know, I'm a bit of an overachiever!)
This is how we test paint colors around here! They had a blast.

Beginning phase of storage space to closet/room. The original opening was more of a cubby hole, but Ry opened it up and now we have a door!

And the walls are going up! More to come on this project later.

We received a gift in the mail with something for everyone. Thanks Aunt Sue! The girls LOVE their bears and the box is always fun to pay in for several days.

I put up a few crockpot freezer meals one afternoon.....a few for now and a few for later.

We experimented with a volcano while studying rocks and the letter R. It was a big hit!

And of course, we celebrated Valentine's Day! Ry let me have a morning to myself and then came back with the girls and tons of flowers! The girls were so proud! I also found out on this day that I failed my sugar test...boo! Waiting for results on the second test. Then I headed out to Bible Study only to find that my MIL and SIL had planned a fantastic surprise baby shower. Thanks Julie and Carissa...it was a blast! Now our little guy is outfitted with tons of clothes and baby gear. I even got spoiled with some mommy items and a prenatal massage and pedicure...can't wait!! I don't have any pictures of the shower....but know that it was so much fun!

Oh dress up....too much fun! This outfit was inspired by the recent reading of a Dr. Suess book about a bird name Gertrude McFuzz. She had a tiny tail and wanted a big, beautiful tail so badly!

And our little guy keeps growing steadily. Here we are at 32 weeks/7 months.

Finally, we bought a car for Ryan yesterday! We made a crazy, last minute trip to PA to pick up this Subaru Forester. The girls were troopers for the extremely long drive....Olivia is quite the lounger when there's a movie to be watched!

Yay....a great deal on a great vehicle and now we are back to 2 reliable cars. After 4 months of trying to juggle our schedules with one (the girls and I were home bound a lot!) it's very exciting to have the flexibility of 2 cars!
